How To Make The Perfect Mango Lassi

During a scorching, 100-plus-degree summer in India, few drinks are more appealing than iced mango lassi.

Originally from Punjab, Lassi, pronounced LUSS-EE, not LAAA-SEE, is now common across India, typically available in two varieties, sweet and salty. The sweet mango variety is our favourite and it's so easy to make; just follow these simple instruction below.

1 ripe mango

5 ice cubes

Pinch of ground cardamon

Splash of milk or water (optional)

1/2 tsp soft light brown sugar (optional)

Squeeze of lime juice (optional)

To make, add all the above to a blender and blend until you reach your desired consistency, adding and subtracting ingredients to taste.
